Our shadowing program is designed to help assist children in the classroom setting. The steps taken are as follows:

  1. We do an initial observation to determine areas we feel need more attention.

  2. We then determine where the problem areas are, such as what triggers certain behaviors, where he/she lacks attention, etc.

  3. We will then set up a behavioral plan for the student. We will determine how many days a week, or hours we feel are necessary for a “shadow”.

  4. The shadows role is to assist the child with as little interaction as possible.

  5. Our goal is to fade out, so that the student can learn on his own.

  6. We will provide them with the skills they need to keep motivated, focused and attentive in class.

School Shadowing Components

EDUCATIONAL & BEHAVIORAL ANALYSIS

We create an individualized educational and behavioral plan to meet each student’s desired goals after reviewing all evaluations. This will help us understand how much and when the student needs extra attention.

STUDENT SUPPORT

The shadows role is to assist the child with as little interaction as possible. Our goal is to fade out, so that the student can learn on his own. We will provide them with the skills they need to keep motivated, focused and attentive in class.

INDIVIDUALIZED SCHEDULE

The Parents and Motivating Minds can work together to assess how often the student needs shadowing.

WEEKLY QUARTER REPORTS

Parents will be provided with a weekly report on what the child is learning, his/her behavior and attentiveness. Motivating Minds will also provide a quarterly report card to parents.
